HelpSmith is a visual help authoring tool which allows you to create html Help files, Web Help , and Printable Manuals from a single source. The intuitive environment provides a powerful Word-like unicode text editor with dynamic styles and live spell checker, advanced approach to working with graphical and video files, and many other useful features.



Based on the original technologies HelpSmith, enables creating help files and documentation from scratch and also allows you to import help topics from HTML, Word RTF, TXT files that can be written in multiple Unicode or ANSI charsets.



You can use HelpSmith to supply technical documentation for your own application in many output formats one of which is context-sensitive HTML Help files, a standard format for program's help files in Windows. HelpSmith has complete support for all the features of CHM Help, allowing you to create the tree-type Table of Contents, alphabetical keyword Index, also you can customize chm viewer's help windows, and so on.



The "What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get" principle makes the process of using HelpSmith as easy as working with regular office application. And, in fact, you do not have to learn any technical details to develop professional CHM and Web Help systems and other documents with this help authoring utility.
